Flower Power: Geraniums & More On Saturday
Geraniumfest at Lynnfield Middle School combines flowers with family fun.

Come for the flowers. Come for a ride in a hot air balloon. Or just come to meet Wally the Green Monster. But circle Saturday, May 20th on the calendar for Geraniumfest, an annual Lynnfield event organized by Townscape.
On Saturday, May 20th, “Geraniumfest” will return to Lynnfield Middle School, and will have some fun, new additions at “Kids Day,” happening simultaneously with Geraniumfest. This year, the larger event will begin at 9 a.m. but you can arrive early for flower sales and rides in Big Max, the tethered hot air balloon donated by RE/MAX Leading Edge, from 8-10 a.m. weather-permitting.
Also beginning at 8 a.m. is the sale of a wide variety of flowers, for those wishing to avoid the crowds. Once again this year, along with geranium plants, there will be an offering of colorful annuals and perennials for purchase. All material is locally grown and, thus, fresher. Credit cards will be accepted the day of the event. At Geraniumfest there will also be a selection of hanging baskets and patio containers as well as geraniums for purchase that day. All the proceeds from the sale of geraniums go toward purchasing trees for Lynnfield.
