The following was provided by the Lynnfield Library:
The Lynnfield Library is delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant for a community read! In the spring of 2013 the Library applied for a Library Services & Technology Act (LSTA) special services grant called, “On the Same Page”. We are developing programming, organizing group and independent walks, and many more activities to bring the Lynnfield community together around Bill Bryson’s book, A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail. Please keep an eye to the paper and the Library’s website, www.lynnfieldlibrary.org for all the latest updates and information about this upcoming community read event.
This project is administered by the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners with funds from LSTA (Library Services and Technology Act), a Federal source of library funding provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services. Additional funding is also being provided by the Friends of the Lynnfield Library and Massachusetts State Aid to Libraries.
