Lynnfield Earns No. 4 Seed In MIAA Field Hockey Tourney

Pioneers will host Stoneham Thursday in first round of North sectional.

Lynnfield is one of six Cape Ann League schools in the Division 2 North field hockey tournament. The No. 4 seeded Pioneers (14-3-1) will host No. 13 seed Stoneham (9-7-2) Thursday in the first round. The MIAA released the pairings Monday.

As usual, nine-time Division 2 state champion Watertown is the team to beat in the North. And as usual the Cape Ann's finest will attempt to knock off the Raiders. In addition to Lynnfield, CAL schools Pentucket, Ipswich, Triton, Newburyport and Manchester-Essex are in the sectional field.

Following is the Division 2 North sectional with seeds and w-l records.
