Lynnfield Firefighters Battle Blaze
Two firefighters suffered minor injuries at an attic fire at 10 Bluejay Road

LYNNFIELD, MA - Two firefighters were hurt fighting an aggressive interior fire in Lynnfield Tuesday night. Fire officials said they received a call for a structure fire at 10 Bluejay Rd. while two of their units were assisting in Peabody.
Peabody immediately released Engine 1 to respond back to town while Wakefield, Saugus, and North Reading fire departments responded to the fire to assist, fire officials said.
"An aggressive interior fire attack knocked the fire down minutes before the fire would have broken through the roof. Units were finally able to clear the scene in the wee hours of Wednesday morning," a post on the Lynnfield Fire Department's social media account said. "Revere, Reading, and Lynn provided station coverage while the Boston Sparks provide rehab at the fire. Two fire fighters suffered minor injuries and were treated at the scene. The Massachusetts State Fire Marshals Office is conducting the fire investigation."
