Lynnfield PD Investigate Stolen Black Lives Matter Signs
Police have received several reports of Black Lives Matter signs being stolen or vandalized in town over the last few weeks.
LYNNFIELD, MA — Lynnfield police are investigating a string of thefts and vandalism involving Black Lives Matter signs in town. Several lawn signs were reported stolen over the past few weeks, according to police. The department is asking for the public's help in identifying the suspects involved.
"The Lynnfield Police Department is actively investigating these and all reports of theft and vandalism and is asking for your assistance and support in this investigation," the department said in a Facebook post.
The post included two photos of the incidents. The first photo was from a home surveillance video and showed a woman grabbing a Black Lives Matter sign from a front lawn. The second photo show s offensive graffiti that police said was scrawled in front of a home that also had its Black Lives Matter sign stolen.

The graffiti is similar to racist vandalism that was found in the Pillings Pond area in the spring, police said.
The department condemned any and all acts of racism or hate in the town and asked anyone with information about the incidents to call the Lynnfield Police Department at 781-334-3131.
