Lynnfield Tree Committee to Hold Arbor Day Ceremony

The ceremony recognizes the crucial value trees played in our past and in our lives today.

LYNNFIELD, MA—The Tree Committee invites you to attend an Arbor Day ceremony in recognition of the crucial value trees played in our past and in our lives today on Saturday, April 30 on the Common from 10 a.m. until noon.

After a reading of the proclamation by a town official, we will plant an apple tree adjacent to the Common. Apple trees have a rich history in Lynnfield and honoring them brings us closer to the past while planting our future.

Next join a certified arborist from SavATree on a walking tour of the trees on the Common. The arborist will introduce us to some unusual and interesting trees that we pass by everyday in town. Learn about their defining characteristics and how these types of trees can be utilized in your own backyard. This informative free program is available through a grant from the Lynnfield Cultural Council and through the generosity of SavATree will include a tree seedling for each attendee.
