Lynnfield Volleyball Team Earns No. 2 Seed In MIAA Tourney

Lynnfield earned the No. 2 seed in the Division 2 North volleyball tournament and earned a preliminary-round bye. The MIAA released the pairings Tuesday afternoon.

The Pioneers finished 18-2 and will face the winner of the Hamilton-Wenham vs. Madison Park game in the sectional's first round on Saturday. City teams historically struggle in the tournament, making a rematch with H-W likely. Lynnfield beat the Generals twice this fall, winning each match 3-0. Twenty teams made the Division 2 North field including top-seeded Arlington Catholic.
