LYNNFIELD, MA — A Lynnfield firefighter was arrested in Rhode Island last week after buying a Diet Coke at 7-Eleven in the buff, police said. John Walsh, a 60-year-old fire captain, was charged with disorderly conduct in Middletown, Rhode Island, on April 3.

Walsh and his girlfriend were pulled over after the store clerk reported the encounter to police. His girlfriend told officers she dared Walsh to walk into the store naked after he claimed it was legal in Rhode Island, police told The Daily Item.

Rhode Island law defines indecent exposure as exposing one's genitals "for the purpose of sexual arousal, gratification or stimulation...under circumstances in which his or her conduct is likely to cause affront, distress or alarm to that person." Walsh was not charged with indecent exposure.
