North Volleyball Titles Go To AP, Lynnfield
AP wins first, Lynnfield wins first in Division 2, and Lawrence beats Reading in D1 final.
On Sectional Saturday for girls' volleyball Austin Prep, Lynnfield, and Lawrence left Tewksbury High School with MIAA North Sectional trophies.
Lawrence (21-0) beat Reading, 3-0, in the Division 1 North championship. The Lancers won by scores of 25-21, 25-16, and 25-22. Reading finishes the season at 18-5.
In just its second year in Division 2, Lynnfield (22-2) beat Burlington, 3-0. The Pioneers won by scores of 27-25, 25-20, and 27-25. The last sectional title for Lynnfield was 2016 in Division 3. Lynnfield will play Central champ Groton-Dunstable in the state semifinals.

Austin Prep (20-3) won the Division 3 North title, beating Ipswich, 3-2, for its first sectional volleyball title. AP won by scores of 24-26, 25-16, 25-16, 16-25, and 15-9. The Cougars advance to the state semifinal against the Central winner.
