Pioneers Open Hockey Tournament Tuesday
Lynnfield will face Tewksbury at the Billerica Forum in Chelmsford.
The Lynnfield boys' hockey team heads to the Chelmsford Forum Tuesday to face Tewksbury, the first step in pursuit of a Division 2 North championship. The game is the second of two at the Billerica Forum with Triton vs. North Andover at 5 p.m. followed by Lynnfield-Tewksbury.
The Pioneers are 11-5-4 and seeded No. 10. Tewksbury finished the regular season 13-4-3 and has the No. 7 seed. If Lynnfield wins, it will face the winner of the game between Lowell Catholic and Lincoln-Sudbury in the quarterfinals.
Both Tewksbury and Lynnfield lost in the first round of last year's Division 2 North tournament.
