Representative Jones supported many key policy initiatives this session, including legislation authorizing the use of mail-in ballots and other expanded voting options for state and municipal elections in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. He also saw two of his legislative priorities signed into law this year, including a statewide ban on female genital mutilation (FGM) and the establishment of a “do not hire” registry to protect individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities from abusive caregivers, also known as Nicky’s Law.

In addition to voting to expand school breakfast programs, Representative Jones also supported legislation to address racial disparities in maternal healthcare; enhance consumer access and insurance parity for telehealth services; and establish a Foster Parents Bill of Rights within the Department of Children and Families (DCF).
