Representative Jones’ Office Seeking Spring Interns

Lynnfield college students encouraged to apply

The office of House Minority Leader Bradley H. Jones, Jr. (R-North Reading) is now accepting applications for spring internships.

Representative Jones is seeking college students with strong writing skills and attention to detail, who will work remotely under the supervision of his State House staff. Residents of North Reading, Reading, Lynnfield and Middleton are preferred, but applicants living outside the 20th Middlesex District will also be considered.

“Working as an intern is a great way for college students to learn more about state government and the legislative process,” said Jones. “Although the State House remains closed to the public due to COVID-19 precautions, our remote internship program will give students the opportunity to conduct policy analysis, assist with constituent services, and perform other legislative tasks online under the direction of my staff.”

Spring internships will begin in mid-March, and will run through May. Interested candidates should submit a cover letter, resume and writing sample to amanda.doran@mahouse.gov.

Internships are unpaid, but in some cases, there may be an opportunity to earn college credits.
