3 Drunk Teens Hospitalized, More Than Dozen Arrested At Tim McGraw Concert

Police say a party bus was filled with empty beer cans and bottles.

Three teenagers on a party bus headed to Mansfield for a Tim McGraw concert became so drunk they were hospitalized, and more than a dozen people in the group were charged in connection with the case, according to reports.

Norton police got involved when an officer hired by the Xfinity Center saw a female laying on the ground on Mansfield Ave. Friday night, according to CBS Boston.

When she and friends trying to pick her up saw the officer coming, they ran away, the station reported.

Following a 2011 McGraw concert in Mansfield, police said underage drinking contributed to the severe beating of a man at the hands of six young men.

In Friday’s incident, The Original Party Trolley of Boston was parked near the group and was filled with beer cans and bottles when police took a look, according to the station.

William Rivera, 40, of Randolph, the driver of the bus, according to CBS Boston, told police he was bringing 35 teenagers, ages 15 to 18, from Quincy to the concert. He said he knew of no alcohol on the bus.

Rivera was charged with furnishing alcohol to a minor and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The minors were taken to the police department until their parents could pick them up.

All will be summonsed to appear in Attleboro District Court.
