Aptowitz, DelVecchio Win Mansfield Select Board Spots
Mansfield reported an 18 percent turnout of the town's 17,775 eligible voters in Tuesday's election.

MANSFIELD, MA — Frank DelVecchio and Jess Aptowitz edged Walter Wilk Jr. for the two open Select Board spots in Mansfield in a close election on Tuesday.
DelVecchio received 32.1 percent of the vote, with Aptowitz receiving 31.2 percent and Wilk receiving 27.6 percent. More than 8 percent of the votes cast for Select Board included a blank entry.
Overall, there were 3,216 votes cast in the election postponed due to the coronavirus health crisis — a turnover out of 18.09 percent of the 17,775 eligible to vote.

Votes were close in races for town moderator, school committee and housing authority as well.
Robert Saquet received 54.35 percent of the votes for town moderator, beating out Kostas Loukos at 40.9 percent.

Kiera O'Neil and Lauren Scher won the two open spots on the school committee. O'Neil received 33.54 percent, with Scher at 32.87 percent. Vivian Webster received 22.54 percent.
William Snyder received 48.73 percent of the votes for the housing authority opening, with James Ragazzo at 39.61 percent.
