Brockton Man Killed In Early Morning Crash On I-95 In Mansfield

State Police said the Brockton man, and a passenger, were ejected from a car when it crossed on to the median near Exit 6A in Mansfield.

MANSFIELD, MA — A Brockton man was killed early Sunday morning when he and a passenger were ejected from a car that crossed into the center median and crashed on I-95 in Mansfield. State Police said the 25-year-old man died at Sturdy Memorial Hospital, while his 27-year-old passenger was brought to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

State Police said that at about 2:45 a.m. they responded out of the Foxboro barracks to a single-car rollover on I-95 northbound near Exit 6A and found a 2015 Infiniti off the roadway to the left. Police said preliminary investigation indicated that, for unknown reasons, the car crossed onto the median and crashed with both passengers ejected.

Mansfield Fire and EMS and Massachusetts Department of Transportation assisted State Police on the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
