
A 40-year old Foxboro woman was seriously injured after her car hit a parked vehicle and crashed into a building, according to a statement from the Mansfield Police Department.Â
At about 1:50 p.m., the woman was driving northbound on South Main Street near Town Hall when the accident occurred. She was breathing, but unconscious when officials arrived on scene.
The Sun Chronicle reports that the woman was MedFlighted to Boston Medical Center and that the building she hit at 20 South Main Street houses the restaurant Tasty Ray's some apartments.
Town Building Inspector Nicholas J. Riccio said the building was structurally sound despite the damage inflicted by the accident, according to the statement. Checks on the gas and electrical lines found both to be secure.Â
The accident remains under investigation.Â
