Residents from Mansfield and Surrounding Communities are invited to the Friends of the Elderly Annual Thanksgiving Dinner at the Mansfield Congregational Church at 17 West St., Thanksgiving Day at 1 p.m.
The event "is not just for the elderly," said volunteer coordinator Randy Pickus, but for anyone who wants to enjoy a free home cooked meal. Everything is homemade, except for the Turkey and Stuffing, which is purchased from Willow Tree.
A few volunteers are still needed, so if you're interested you can call Pickus at 508-269-8795. Volunteer shifts are staggered from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m. If you can't get to the event, you can call Sandra Martinelli at 508-223-2270.
