Coronavirus: Mansfield To Hold Touchless Household Waste Recycle

A Mansfield Household Hazardous Waste Day will be held May 2 at the Xfinity Center.

MANSFIELD, MA — The Mansfield Public Health Department will conduct a socially distant household hazardous waste day at the Xfinity Center that will include drive-thru drop off of items where no physical interaction takes place between those dropping off items and those collecting them. The event will be May 2 from 8 a.m. to noon.

All residents will be required to stay in their vehicles at all times with no exceptions. All accepted items must be placed in a cardboard or plastic container for safe transportation, and then put in the trunk of a vehicle where a staff member can access it without resident assistance.

All trunks must be empty of items except those being processed as waste.

Proof of residency is required. Residents will be asked to hold up the proof to the closed window. Windows should not roll down their windows.

Drivers are asked to keep idling to to a minimum and follow all signage. Residents are asked to confirm in advance that all items are eligible to be recycled here.
