Coronavirus: Mansfield Police Deliver Donated Masks To Boston
Boston police on Thursday thanked Mansfield police for delivering masks donated anonymously to Boston-area hospitals.
MANSFIELD, MA — Mansfield police delivered 4,000 protective masks donated by an anonymous corporate sponsor to Boston on Thursday days after Boston Mayor Marty Walsh made an appeal to local companies for protective medical equipment and respirators.
Mansfield Town Manager Kevin Dumas asked Mansfield Police Chief Ron Sellon to deliver the masks to Boston Police Commissioner William Gross. The anonymous benefactor gave specific instructions that the equipment be distributed to staff members at several Boston-area hospitals.
"On behalf of the medical professionals here in Boston working on the front lines, we thank the corporate sponsor and the Mansfield Police Department for their thoughtfulness and generosity."
