Mansfield 2019 Memorial Day Parade Information

Find out the Memorial Day schedule, what's open, and when to put your trash out on the holiday.

MANSFIELD, MA — Mansfield has announced plans for the annual Memorial Day Parade. The parade starts at 10 a.m., Monday, May 27, starting in the North Common at the train station. The parade then proceeds down Main Street before ending at the town hall around 10:30 a.m.

Following the parade, a memorial service will be held at the gazebo in the South Common and is expected to last about 30 to 40 minutes.

What's Open And Closed On Memorial Day

The holiday also means government offices and some businesses will be closed. Before you head out, check our list of what's open and closed on the holiday

  • Retail stores: Open at owner's discretion
  • Commuter Rail: Sunday schedule.
  • Supermarkets: Open
  • Convenience stores: Open
  • Bars: Open
  • Banks: Closed
  • Basically anything to do with municipal government: Closed
  • Libraries, see above: Closed
  • Schools: Closed
  • Mail: Express delivery only
  • Trash/recycling collection: Delayed one day. Monday pickup on Tuesday, Tuesday pickup on Wednesday, etc., ending with Friday pickup on Saturday.
