Mansfield Boys' Basketball Get Top Seed In D1 South Tournament
The girls' team will enter the postseason as the third seed.
MANSFIELD, MA — It's tournament time for high school sports in Massachusetts and Mansfield is the once again team to beat entering both the boys' and girls' MIAA Division 1 South basketball tournaments.
The Hornets have been awarded the top seed in the boys' tournament and will start postseason play against No. 16 Newton South Feb. 28 at 6:30 p.m. The winner will play the winner of No. 8 BC High vs. No. 9 Wellesley.
In the girls' bracket, the Hornets have been awarded the third seed and will host 14th-ranked Newton North March 1 at 6:30 p.m.. The winner moves on to a quarterfinal round game against the winner of No. 6 Wellesley vs. No. 11 Whitman-Hanson.
