Mansfield To Celebrate Small Business Saturday

MANSFIELD, MA — Black Friday began the holiday shopping season for many, and with Cyber Monday coming up, big box retailers are going to be raking in sales in store and online. Squished in between this weekend is a chance to help out the little guy. It's relatively new, but Small Business Saturday is an annual holiday shopping tradition, encouraging people to help out the mom and pop businesses that help make their communities unique.

American Express founded the day in 2010 as a way to help small businesses get more visibility during the holiday season. Otherwise, many of these smaller businesses might get overlooked.

Small businesses rely on their communities to continue prospering and building the local economy. The idea behind Small Business Saturday is to just remind people that their neighbors rely on them, so they should be considered when trying to find those perfect holiday gifts.
