Compost Area Open

MANSFIELD, MA — The compost area at Mansfield Green is being opened in response to the April 13 storm that caused a lot of tree damage in Mansfield. The compost area will be open 8 a.m. - 2 p.m. starting April 15. It will be open Monday through Saturday until Saturday, April 25. Only the Route 106 entrance across from the new Public Safety Building will be used for residents to come in and out of the compost area. The main entrance and the Mansfield Green recycling area will remain closed. The compost area is open for residents only (no landscapers or commercial vehicles) for yard waste consisting of brush, leaves and grass clippings. Due to the recent storm, for these two weeks only, the Town will allow brush larger than 6 inches in diameter. No tree stumps or building materials will be allowed.
