Mansfield Fire Respond To Head-On Collision On I-495
Mansfield fire said one passenger suffered life-threatening injuries during the early morning crash Sunday on I-495 South.
MANSFIELD, MA — The Mansfield Fire Department responded to a head-on crash with a life-threatening injury early Sunday morning. Mansfield fire said when they arrived to the crash scene near Exit 12 they found one entrapped victim and one other person injured.
Mansfield fire said crews used the jaws of life to free the person in one of the vehicles. Both patients were taken to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center with one of them dealing with life-threatening injuries.
Foxborough fire assisted at the scene. State Police are investigating the crash. Mansfield fire posted a photo of the head-on collision on social media.
