Mansfield Green To Reopen Tuesday
Mansfield Green will open for composting and recycling for residents.
MANSFIELD, MA — Mansfield Green will open for residents starting on Tuesday.
The composting and recycling site will reopen Tuesday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. next week, and will return to regular hours on May 30.
Mansfield Green has been closed to general recycling and composting due to the coronavirus health crisis. It was opened temporarily following heavy storms earlier this month.

Mansfield Green accepts white goods, yard waste and other materials that in some cases cannot be recycled in your curbside single-stream bin. This includes:
- Cardboard
- Clothing and textiles
- Fluorescent light bulbs (these should never be placed in the trash)
- Glass
- Large metal and steel items, such as grills, bicycles, and bed frames
- Large pieces of Styrofoam (polystyrene)
- Motor oil
- Plastic items 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7
- Propane tanks (sticker purchase required)
- Tires
- TVs and computer monitors (sticker purchase required)
- White goods that contain Freon, such as refrigerators, humidifiers, and air conditioners (sticker purchase required)
- White goods that do not contain Freon, such as washers, dryers, dishwashers (no sticker purchase required)
