Mansfield Native Signs With St. Louis Blues

Providence College junior forward Erik Foley has decided to forgo his senior season and has agreed to a deal with the Blues.

MANSFIELD, MA — A Mansfield native has signed with the St. Louis Blues shortly after the end of his college career.

Providence College junior forward Erik Foley has decided to forgo his senior season and has agreed to a three-year entry-level contract with the St. Louis Blues, Providence College announced late last week. Foley will report to the AHL's San Antonio Rampage on an amateur tryout deal and his entry-level contract will begin next season.

Foley was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in the third round of the 2015 NHL Entry Draft. His rights were traded to the Blues just before February's trade deadline.

While at PC, Foley earned 38 goals and 50 assists in 110 games. He was named to the Hockey East All-Star team, the Hockey East November Player of the Month, and a semifinalist for the Walter Brown Award.

This year, Foley picked up 16 goals, 19 assists, and 35 points, all career bests.
