Mansfield Plans Halloween Parade

The parade will feature a costume contest.

MANSFIELD, MA — The town is getting ready to host its Halloween Parade happening on Saturday, Oct. 26 at Mansfield South Common. Residents are asked to dress in their best costumes and enter a contest with several costume award categories. The event is being hosted by the Mansfield Recreation Department.

The parade will start at 2 p.m. at the South Common, marching down North Main Street, turning left on High Street, left on Rumford Avenue, then left on West Street. Then, the parade will turn right on Union Street and back onto South Common. A free goodie bag will be given to each participant.

The costume contest will be in the following categories: most original, most frightful, best duo/group and best pet costume. New this year, a George Dentino Spirit Award will also be given. Costume winners will receive trophies.

The Mansfield Halloween Parade is free, and no registration is necessary. It will be held rain or shine.
