Mansfield Police To Hold Women's Self-Defense Classes
The Mansfield Police Department will hold a series of three women's risk reduction, avoidance and self-defense classes in March.
MANSFIELD, MA — The Mansfield Police Department will host a series of self-defense classes for women and teen girls at the new community room in the Mansfield station in March. The 12-hour program is broken up into three, four-hour sessions focusing on awareness, prevention, risk reduction, avoidance and hands-on defense training.
Classes will run March 14, March 21 and March 28 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. They are open to women 18 years and older, and girls 14 and up with a waiver from a parent or guardian. All classes are taught by Mansfield police certified instructors.
