Mansfield Readies For Fall Festival

The inaugural Fall Festival at Fulton Pond is planned for early next month.

MANSFIELD, MA — The town is getting ready to celebrate autumn during its inaugural Fall Festival at Fulton Pond. It's scheduled for Friday and Saturday, Oct. 4 and Oct. 5. It will feature free rides on the Ferris wheel, fire juggler performances, antique cars and more.

Friday's events are scheduled to take place from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. with free rides on the "Big Ellie" Ferris wheel overlooking Fulton Pond, as well as fire cauldrons, lantern design and launch, fire juggler performances and drum beats.

The events on the second day of the event will take place Saturday, Oct. 5, from noon to 5 p.m. This day will feature face painting, free photos with antique cars, Copeland House Tours and llama petting. Free Ferris wheel rides will again be offered. In addition, there will be local food for sale, a beer garden serving craft brews and an arts and crafts fair with items available for sale.

Maps of Friday's activities, as well as Saturday's activities, have been released by town officials. Free parking will be available with a shuttle service from the Robinson and Jackson/Jordan elementary schools.

As Mansfield plans its first Fall Festival at Fulton Pond, a cyanobacteria advisory remains at the pond. At this time, residents and visitors are asked not to swim at the pond or swallow water. This includes pets.
