Mansfield Reports 11 New Coronavirus Cases In Past 2 Weeks

The Board of Health said there have been 193 known cases since March with 174 recoveries and six cases under isolation.

MANSFIELD, MA —The Mansfield Board of Health reported 193 positive cases of the coronavirus as of Thursday - an increase of 11 cases over the past two weeks.

The Board of Health said that 174 cases have recovered and six cases remain under isolation.

There have been 13 deaths attributed to coronavirus in the town — none since May 10.

More than three-quarters of Massachusetts communities had falling or steady positive coronavirus test rates over the last two weeks as of Wednesday, according to new town-by-town data released by the state Wednesday. Just four towns remained above the 5 percent positive threshold.

The seven-day statewide positive rate hit its lowest level yet, 1.4 percent.

Brockton, Chelsea, Everett, Lawrence, Lynn, Revere, Salem, Saugus, South Hadley and Winthrop were shaded red in the latest update. That means they have had more than eight confirmed coronavirus cases per 100,000 residents over the past two weeks.
