Mansfield Snowstorm Emergency Information: Town Manager
Important storm-related information including parking restrictions, emergency contacts, and more.

MANSFIELD, MA — With forecasters expecting two to five inches of snow to fall in the Mansfield area, town officials sent out a snowstorm notification to make sure residents stay safe Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning.
Town Manager Kevin Dumas provided the following update:
â–º ROAD CONDITIONS: Mansfield PD is responding to numerous crashes due to reduced visibility and slippery road conditions. We strongly encourage motorists to reduce their speed and leave plenty of stopping time when
following other cars and approaching intersections.
â–º Municipal Buildings: Town Hall and all municipal buildings will be closed for the remained of Tues., Feb. 12th.
► School Activities – There are no School Department activities scheduled for this evening.
â–º Roads/Snow Removal: DPW crews pre-treated the roads earlier today DPW crews will be working through the storm to keep roads clear.
► Parking Ban: Normal downtown midnight – 6:00 am ban only.
► Trash/Recycle Collection: Trash will be collected on schedule on Wednesday, February 13th. If the Town receives notice of any change to the schedule by Waste Management we will update via the Town’s website and Facebook.
â–º Snow in the Public Way: Putting snow in the public way is a violation of the Town by-law Chapter 189, Section 2. The police will be enforcing and ticketing any violators found to be putting snow in the street or on the sidewalks.
â–º Debris: Any fallen trees in the public way from public or private property will be cut back by DPW crews as needed to open the roads. It will be the responsibility of the property owner to remove the remaining debris of any trees fallen from their property.
► Resident Concerns: As we work toward resolving any residents’ issues related to the storm, we ask that all comments are directed to the appropriate location and request that comments not be placed on the Town’s social media sites in the case of emergent situations as we cannot adequately address issues of concern. Therefore, we are requesting that you make many necessary notifications in the following manner:

- Please direct any power outage issue directly to the Mansfield Municipal Electric Department at (508) 261-7361. If your call is not answered due to call volume, please stay on the line where it will be transferred appropriately.
- For non-electric issues, we ask that you email stormevent@mansfieldma.com to track your issue and provide you the appropriate response.

- Medical emergencies
- Motor vehicle crashes
- Crimes in progress

- Electrical service pulled away from your home by snow, wind, or tree damage.
