Mansfield Storm Update: Snow Forecasts Get An Increase

The NWS says to be on the lookout for up to 8 inches of snow, while WBZ says it could be up to a foot!

MANSFIELD, MA — The snow/rain line known as Mansfield is starting to lean towards snow and a few inches of it could be on the ground by the end of Wednesday's storm.

The National Weather Service's latest forecast has Mansfield receiving 6 to 8 inches of snow. That's an increase for what has been an uncertain forecast. WBZ is also upping their numbers to 6 to 12 inches.

The town remains in a winter storm advisory until Thursday.

The NWS noted that Mansfield is in an area where they have high uncertainty in their snowfall predictions due to where the rain/snow line falls. The NWS' forecast has changed multiple times in the last few hours, with the projection going as low as 4 inches to as high as 8 inches due to temperature shifts.

On the wind front, you can still expect gusts between 40 to 50 miles per hour to sweep across the area Wednesday.
