Mansfield Superintendent Gets New Contract, Raise
The school committee voted to give Teresa Murphy a one-year extension.

MANSFIELD, MA — Mansfield Superintendent Teresa Murphy is sticking around for a few more years.
The school committee voted to approve a one-year extension for Murphy, who is about a month away from wrapping up her first school year as the head of schools. Murphy is in the first of the original three-year deal, which now runs through 2021.
“I’m delighted to work for Mansfield for another year. It’s been a terrific year, I think the transition went well and I’m looking forward to the next couple of weeks full of events,” Murphy said.

The new deal includes a 2.25 percent salary increase which bumps her base pay from $170,000 to about $174,000
School committee Chairperson Kiera O’Neil said the transition to Murphy as superintendent was seamless.

Murphy was picked to succeed Zeff Gianetti in 2016. Prior to being the superintendent, Murphy was the assistant superintendent and principal of Jordan-Jackson Elementary School.
