PHOTOS: Mansfield High School Choir Performs with Foreigner
The high schoolers performed with the rock band on Thursday.
When legendary rock band Foreigner needed a choir for their recent show at the Xfinity Center, they turned to Mansfield High School for help.
On Thursday, 25 students from the school’s choir performed “I Want to Know what Love is” with the band.
According to choir teacher Sheila Newton, the Xfinity Center inquired about the use of the students about a month ago. She said the singers were thrilled about the chance to perform a song they love at their hometown venue.

After their performance, the kids were able to stick around to see Kid Rock headline the evening.
One of the top rock bands of the 70s and 80s, Foreigner is remembered for such hits as “Feels Like the First Time,” “Cold as Ice,” “Double Vision,” and “Juke Box Hero.” “I Want to Know What Love is,” is perhaps the band’s most successful song, topping the Billboard Top 100 in 1984.
