Should Theme Parks Change Policies to Stop Illegal Line Jumpers?

The Happiest Place on Earth is not so happy about people faking disabilities to get to the front of the line. 

In an attempt to stop illegal line jumpers, Disney theme parks will no longer allow people with disabilities to go to the front of the lines at Disneyland and Walt Disney World. Instead, visitors with disabilities will be given tickets with a return time and a shorter wait time, which is similar to the FastPass system at the amusement parks, reported Fox News.

The current system allows those with a disability to bring up to six guests to a special entrance to rides. No proof of disability is required, according to Fox News.

The new policy that goes into effect on Oct. 9 is in response to people using disabled “tour guides” who accompany able-bodied people so they can avoid long times. Some of these guides are paid up to $1,000 a day, reported Fox News.
