Small Fire Displaces Some Copeland Crossing Residents
The small fire is under investigation by Mansfield Police and the State Fire Marshall.

MANSFIELD, MA — The occupants of a residence at Copeland Crossing at 287 Chauncy St. were impacted by a fire Tuesday afternoon.
Just past 12:30 p.m., Mansfield Fire and Police responded to a fire alarm at Building B, where they found a small fire in a bedroom of one of the units.
Mansfield Fire was able to quickly extinguish the fire. While residents in Buildings A and C can return home, Building B residents may be displaced until 10 p.m., according to police. Residents in need of assistance can contact Mansfield Police at 508-261-7300 .

The fire is under investigation by Mansfield Police and the State Fire Marshall investigators. Mansfield Emergency Management Agency and the Red Cross are assisting at the scene.
Police say there is no danger to the public.

Due to the fire, parking will be limited near Building C. Copeland Crossing residents will be allowed to use the Advanced Auto Parts parking lot.
