Snow, Gusty Wind on the Way to Mansfield

Mansfield, MA -- Some possible snow showers will hit the area on Sunday, with more snow behind it.
Snow showers with a localized heavier snow squall or two are possible late on Sunday, accumulating up to three inches.

“The main concern will be during the early morning portion of the commute, where roadways could become snow-covered with poor visibility in heavier snow squalls,” said the National Weather Service.
Scattered snow showers and perhaps heavier snow squalls will remain possible through Monday. A wind advisory may be needed on Tuesday for a portion of Southern New England, with a possibility of gusts up to 45 mph

Here’s the forecast, according to the National Weather Service:
- Sunday Night: Snow, mainly after 10 p.m. Low around 23. North wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.
- Monday: Snow showers likely, mainly before 10 a.m. Cloudy, then gradually becoming mostly sunny, with a high near 29. West wind 5 to 10 mph increasing to 12 to 17 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 33 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible
- Monday night: Mostly clear, with a low around 11. Wind chill values as low as -1. West wind 13 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 26 mph.
- Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 25. Breezy, with a west wind 14 to 20 mph.
