'Support our Troops Day' A Success
Hero Helpers of America collected enough donations to assemble over 45 care packages for troops overseas.
The Following is part of a statement from Hero Helpers of America:
Mansfield, MA (October 15, 2013) – Saturday, October 12, Hero Helpers of America held its first fundraising event hosted by state representative Jay Barrows in Mansfield. Hero Helpers of America was founded by Lauren Eliopoulos and Amanda Dickerman, both Foxboro High graduates.
Local residents of surrounding towns, military families, servicemen, and political associates of Barrows swarmed the office of Barrows Insurance Agency, Inc. from 9am to noon. Hero Helpers of America received 3 cars full of donations, collectively enough to package over 45 care packages for troops overseas.
"State Rep Jay Barrows, R-Mansfield, provided us not only a space to host an event, but with a fantastic networking opportunity. I am so very grateful for everything he has done for us and am looking forward to working with him in the future," Eliopoulos said.
