Marblehead Winter Storm: Schools Go Remote Despite Little Snow
Marblehead Public Schools had a remote learning day Tuesday for the benefit of staff members traveling from areas harder hit during storm.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead Public Schools had a remote learning day on Tuesday after a messy winter storm brought high winds and heavy rain to the immediate coast and huge snow totals just a few miles inland.
Although towns along the immediate coast received little snow, the remote day was called to help staff members traveling from inland locations that got walloped.
"To ensure the safety of those who commute to Marblehead, and to ensure adequate staffing levels to safely operate schools, we will be remote learning today," Marblehead Schools said. "District buildings are closed and principals have shared schedules for the day at each level."
