A Harbor to Behold

Walkers were out and about Sunday afternoon, strolling Marblehead's winding, rolling and narrow streets.

Many walkers stopped to admire boats in and out of Marblehead Harbor.

Lobstermen pulled traps, hauled out lobsters, baited the boxes and tossed them back to the sea.

Rowers rowed. Paddleboarders paddled. Powerboats powered.

Sailboats big and small glided over the surface.

Some sailboats far at sea were so big that they held their grand size to a beholder despite the distance.  

Tiny sailboats huddled by harbor's mouth looked their size as bigger sailboats floated past.

At the shore's edge children and adults explored tidal pools, toting colorful buckets and reaching down into forearm deep water to handle a shell, snail or crab.
