A Hit and Run and a Side-Swiped Car

The following information was submitted by the Marblehead Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Nov. 5

7:52 a.m., a hit and run was reported to have taken place in a Pleasant Street bank's parking lot. Police located the suspected motor vehicle at a residence but the owner denied knowledge of an accident. There was significant damage to the owner's rear bumper.

8:09 a.m., a student cut her hand at a West Shore Drive school and was in the nurse's office crying.

10:32 a.m., an Elmwood Road caller reported her husband was suffering emotional problems since their home had been broken into. Police located the man. 

11:07 a.m., a Pleasant Street caller reported that her ex-husband accosted her and her boyfriend.

2:14 p.m., "(A Bayview Road) caller said she got a call from unknown caller saying it was her grandson, he had been in an accident and was currently in South America and needed money. Resident hung up on the male caller."

2:46 p.m., a Washington Street person walked into the police station and reported that someone had accessed his debit account.

Wednesday, Nov. 6

1:17 a.m., police received word from a repossession company that they were going to repossess a Jeep from a Rose Avenue residence. Police were nearby in case there was trouble. The driver repossessed the Jeep.

5:13 a.m., a caller reported that he had side-swiped a parked car on Leggs Hill Road. Police stopped by the Leggs Hill address but there was no answer at the door.
