A Hit and Run on Elm and Voices From Below

Monday, Dec. 9
10:59 a.m., a caller reported losing an earring in town over the weekend. The silver hoop earring has diamonds on the inside and outside.
11:46 a.m., a summons was served on Rowland Street.
3:35 p.m., a lost iPhone was tracked to a residence on Edgewood Road.
4:04 p.m., a walk-in to the police station reported a lost gold and silver band.
4:08 p.m., a caller reported that a truck had struck and broken a tree on Trager Road. The Tree Department was notified.
10:33 p.m., a Green Street Court caller reported hearing what sounded like voices and loud rhythmic banging in the ductwork below the residence. An officer said it might be freezing pipes making the noises.
Tuesday, Dec. 10
7:14 a.m., an Elm Street caller reported hearing a crash about 30 minutes earlier and said his neighbor has just told him that it was his car that was struck. The other car is not around and there are pieces everywhere, the caller said.
