Car Hit Parked Vehicle Before Overturning Tuesday
The driver was a 23-year-old Marblehead man.

A man driving inbound on Atlantic Avenue near Carlton Road Tuesday night struck an unoccupied parked vehicle before his car overturned, police said.
The accident , which took place about 8:45, remains under investigation, said Marblehead Police Chief Robert Picariello.Â
The unidentified driver, a 23-year-old Marblehead man, was the lone occupant, police said.
The man was trapped in the car, which remained on its side. Firefighters used a cutting tool to free him.Â
He was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital.
The man was conscious and alert when removed, according to bystanders and scanner reports. Â
A man at the scene, Bradley Sontz, said the driver looked like he was OK.
Bradley said he knows the driver and the driver's family as they live in his neighborhood, which is about a half-mile from the accident scene.Â
Without the driver's name we were unable to inquire on his medical condition.
Dispatch received multiple calls on the accident. They came from Atlantic, Shuman, Surf, Rockaway, Carlton, according to the Marblehead police log.
