MARBLEHEAD, MA — A noted Massachusetts chef has been dropping hints that his next restaurant will be in Marblehead.

Jason Santos, who appeared on the Fox reality show "Hell's Kitchen" in 2010, plans to open B&B Fish in a former gas station at 195 Pleasant St. in Marblehead. Another restaurant, Chickpeas, had been planning to open at the location before those plans fall through. On his Instagram account, Santos hinted the restaurant will serve upscale versions of New England classics, including fried clams, chowder and soft-serve ice cream. The restaurant could open as early as this summer.

Santos is the chef-owner of Buttermilk & Bourbon, Citrus & Salt and Abby Lane in Boston. Santos has also started posting renovation photos on an Instagram account for B&B Fish.
