
A small earthquake rumbled off the North Shore Friday, according to MassDOT spokeswoman Jacquelyn Goddard. MEMA reported the magnitude 1.5 earthquake at a depth of 16 km, Goddard said.
The earthquake happened 6.2 miles east-southeast of Nahant, 7.6 miles northeast of Hull, 8.1 miles southeast of Swampscott and 8.3 miles south-southeast of Marblehead.
