This photo — submitted by Jennifer Toler — is of a family pumpkin-carving event held this weekend. Toler said the different households from Beverly, Peabody and Salem got together in a socially distanced way to create the spooky gallery of grins and grimaces.

Nancy Kaminski, of Peabody, sent in this pumpkin ghost made out of an orange sugar pumpkin painted white, with an empty win bottle with lights inserted, and white gauze.
