The me&thee continues its virtual concert series on Friday, September 25 with the return of iconic folk musician, Tom Paxton and his trusty sidekicks, the DonJuans. Paxton, a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award winner, teamed up with two other Grammy Award-winning songwriters, Don Henry and Jon Vezner. Collectively, their songs have been covered by Harry Belafonte, John Mellencamp, Neil Diamond, Ray Charles, Faith Hill, and Bob Dylan, to name a few. This show will be brought to you online by Crowdcast.

Tom Paxton’s career has taken him all over the world. He’s played the coffeehouses of Greenwich Village to Carnegie Hall to the Albert Hall in London — not to mention Abbot Hall in Marblehead! He’s been performing since 1960; some of his most memorable songs are “The Last Thing on My Mind,” “Bottle of Wine,” “The Marvelous Toy,” and “Ramblin’ Boy.” Paxton’s song repertoire grew as he became known for his songs about environmental issues like “Whose Garden Was This” and satirical songs like “I’m Changing My Name to Chrysler” and “Forest Lawn.”

Tom’s shows with the DonJuans have kept him on his toes. He says, “These guys are long-ball hitters and if I don’t want to get smoked, I’d better do a little rehearsing. I probably need to do that anyway,” he says, laughing. “It probably couldn’t hurt.” Jon Vezner is a Nashville-based tunesmith of rare sensitivity and dry wit. He's been voted Songwriter of the Year by the Nashville Songwriters Association International. Don Henry lives in Music City as well and has received Grammys as well as the Academy of Country Music.

The Tom Paxton and the DonJuans show is being co-produced with Crowdcast After the show, Tom will participate in a short Q and A with fans. A portion of the proceeds will benefit the me&thee.
