Items Stolen From Unlocked Cars: Marblehead Police Log

Lost fanny pack, using a bong in public, and more from the Marblehead Police log.

  • Police responded to a report of an infant who called 911 last Wednesday around 8 a.m. on West Street. The parent confirmed it was an accident after the child was given a phone to be distracted while a diaper was changed.
  • Someone reported cones in the road on Washington Street last Wednesday around 7:30 p.m., and thought kids put them there as a prank. Officers put the cones back on the sidewalks to direct people around tree stumps.
  • Officers took a report of a lost fanny pack on Pleasant Street last Thursday around 9:30 a.m.
  • Police responded to a report of a group with a bong out in the open Saturday behind the grandstand on Wyman Road around 1 p.m. on Saturday.
  • Someone reported a group of kids pushing a Crosby's shopping cart into the water at Crocker Park on Saturday around 2 p.m. The caller told the kids not to do it, but the kids said they would retrieve it. The Harbormaster was expected to get it out at low tide.
  • Officers took a report of a bag possibly stolen from an unlocked car while parked overnight on Washington Street on Tuesday around 8 a.m.
  • Police took a report of a neighbor who found a jogging stroller on West Street in the woods bordering Tedesco Country Club containing a set of keys, sunglasses, and a drink on Tuesday around 10:30 a.m.
  • Police took a report of an iPod possibly stolen from an unlocked car on Pearl Street on Wednesday around 9 a.m.
