Ladies Play the Blues in Marblehead
It's time for another me&thee virtual concert! Danielle Miraglia and Suzie Vinnick will play some blues!

The me&thee is presenting an evening of blues music on Friday, November 27 at 8:00 pm. This year’s “Ladies Play the Blues” features New England favorite, Danielle Miraglia and Canadian dynamo, Suzie Vinnick. Last year’s blues show at the me&thee was wildly successful and all the tasty blues licks thrilled the audience. Miraglia and Vinnick have bonded over the blues and have a mutual love for sharing their musical gifts across all borders. This show will be available to watch on both Facebook and YouTube. Danielle Miraglia comes armed fully with a strong steady thumb and an old Gibson guitar and an infectious stomp-box rhythm with tunes ranging from her heart-felt to socially conscious that will move both your heart and hips. Her latest album, Bright Shining Stars, has gone to #15 on the Billboard Blues Charts. Released in October of this year, it’s a solo acoustic folk/blues record that highlights the one-woman-band live sound she’s honed over the years. It includes originals as well as a collection of songs she’s been covering at lives shows, paying homage to influences like Big Bill Broonzy, Bob Dylan, Janis Joplin and more. The Boston Globe says “Straddling the line where folk/roots meets rock/blues, Miraglia has a voice that can go from a raspy come-hither purr to an Etta James-esque powerhouse belt, although she may be best known for her lead thumb—a heavy thumping strike on her Gibson that’s backdrop percussion in itself.”
A Saskatoon native transplanted to the Niagara Region of Ontario, roots and blues singer, Suzie Vinnickis the proud owner of a gorgeous voice, prodigious guitar and bass chops, and an engagingly candid performance style. Among her most recent musical successes: being awarded the Saskatchewan Jazz Festival 2019 Special Recognition Award and being nominated for a 2018 Canadian Folk Music Award. She is also a ten-time winner of the Maple Blues Award for songwriting, female vocalist, acoustic act and more. Suzie has a voice you’ll never forget. It soars, it growls, it whispers and it shouts from a deep, deep well of emotions. The pure joy she exudes when she picks up her guitar is worth any price. Suzie’s latest release, Shake the Love Around, contains a versatile mix of songs—some that are anthemic in nature and some that are downright romantic. As she says, “A lot of me is in this album, and it feels really good. We shook the love around and made it happen.”
