Due to today's extreme heat and temperatures, which are predicted to continue thru the weekend, we are asking all residents and businesses in our town to reduce any unnecessary power usage. Any electrical appliance that is not critical to use during this time is helpful to reduce our demand on the overall grid demand. Appliances that MAY fall into this category are: electric dryers, washing machines, dishwashers, irons, blow dryers, any computer equipment that can be safely unplugged as well as cell phone chargers etc. Any little bit will help to avoid possible outages.
Humid conditions are expected to remain through Saturday.
This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
